The Digital Certificate is an electronic document, issued by a trustworthy Certification Authority, which allows unambiguously and with complete security and privacy to identify people, companies and information systems in the digital world.
This is a legally binding signature that guarantees protection for electronic transactions.
Associated with the digital certificate is the concept of digital signature using PKI technology - Public Key Infrastructure - composed of two pairs of keys:
- The private key that allows the sender to sign and encrypt the message as the author;
- The public key that allows the recipient to decrypt, identify and validate the sender's authenticity.
Contrary to the conventional or handwritten signature, the digital signature guarantees irrefutable proof that the message received by the recipient was actually originated by the sender, thus guaranteeing the authenticity, integrity and non-repudiation of the message.
PKIda SISP provides advanced and qualified certificates for the most diverse purposes: Individual, Quality Representation, Identification and Authentication, Time Stamp and Web Authentication (SSL), among other digitally trusted services.
